What's a Turkey Shoot?
No... you don't actually shoot turkeys. Sorry guys.
This is a type of trap shooting tournament. Typical prizes are frozen turkeys. In this tournament, there will be lots of rounds with winners each round.
One style of round will have five shooters line up at the 20 yrd mark. As shooters continue to hit clays, they continue to shoot. The last shooter standing gets the prize (pie, turkey or other meat). Entry is $5, with one buy back.
Another is where the shooters line up and after each round, they move back a yard. Last one standing gets the prize as well as a cash pot.
Don't worry, there will be enough prizes for just about everyone.

Turkey Shoot Announced
The Grace UMC in Manvel will be having a Turkey Shoot on January 11th at the Metro Gun Club in Angleton, TX. Save the date and join us for breakfast, fellowship and fun.
The shooting will begin at 10 am and will go through 5 pm, or till we run out of prizes. We will have a concession stand serving lunch and snacks.
Prizes will include:
- Chickens
- Bacon
- Sausage
- Pies
- Belt buckels
This is a fund raiser for the Church. Grace UMC is on the western edge of Manvel on Highway 6. Our little community hosts Susanna's Cupboard, Kiros ministry, Boy Scout pack among other community activities.
Come on and have a good time and support the community that supports us.
